Reforestation Projects

Planting Together is a platform to launch people just like YOU into effective ministry in Africa. There exists right now an amazing opportunity to touch regions that have had little contact with Westerners.  Special skills are NOT required, but you will need a servant’s heart and be prepared for primitive conditions and warm weather!

Most teams will plant or prune for aprox one week and then spend an additional week with lokal charitable ministries (get current information on charitable partner projects by clicking here.)

Below are the dates and conditions of reforestation projects active at this time.

1. “Great Green Wall” Northern Senegal Aug 9-29, 2013

TASK: Planting trees
DETAILS: Ages 18+, families may bring teenagers. Starts with 4-day preparation camp near Dakar August 9-14. Costs: €500 + airfare.

“Beersheba Project” Senegal Jan 10-30, and March 20-31, 2013
TASK: Pruning (FMNR)
DETAILS: Ages 14+ (families may bring younger children) Teams of up to 12 people, working together with project leaders and Senegalese interns, pruning trees and development projects, going out to  Serer villages.
