The rains have come!!

“We have arrived in Dakar! And the rains have come! Jean Gapelbe asked that rains come as a sign that God really might be behind this amazing adventure of gathering 100 people into West Africa to plant trees and serve villages with almost no other contact to the rest of the world. Here are two pix of Jean and I with our spiffy “Planting Together” t-shirts and one of Kindra in ankle-deep water at a main intersection. This is Africa!! We have been meeting with our team, deciding how in the world to cook for over 100 people over an open fire, distribute 6 showers to the same group, and set up tents to protect us from the same welcoming rains, all in French or Wolof! Fortunately these first few days we are housed in the New Tribes Mission guesthouse where they have an ample stock of Root Beer and Dr. Pepper! We are enjoying being spoiled for the moment. -Curtis Clewett, PT executive team

We are part of this team and the experience has been amazing. There is great leadership, God is turning up in so many ways and we are having great conversations with people as well as being a great testimony by our unity and service to the people of Senegal. We would encourage you to come next year and experience thd true joy of working in partnership with local Africans. Transform your life, transform the lives of others and help to transform Africa.
